Much appreciation to Ryan for entertaining our guests during Stroke Support Station's (S3) 10th Anniversary Gala. The months leading up to it, he had listened to the working committee to infuse key points of the charity's ethos through his inspiring and highly entertaining routine. He is a masterful storyteller and it is difficult not to feel surprised and in awe at his craft. Thank you Ryan.

If I could give 6 stars, I would have definitely done so. We had a pleasure of engaging Ryan for our medical clinic opening, and he was fantastic. Even though space was tight and there were lots of people (including many kids!), he managed to capture everyone's attention right from the start. It's definitely not easy to entertain such a wide mix of ages, but somehow he did it. Kids were fully engaged, and even adults were amazed by the tricks. No idea how he pulled them off! Haha. It really added a special energy to the event. Would definitely invite him again if we get the chance. He made a big impact on his own and left everyone talking. And what amazed me is that his speech and interaction with guests was in line with event theme and our branding. Thanks, Ryan!

Ryan has been a pleasure to work with from the beginning. From the planning stage to the live performance, he was professional, reliable and receptive to feedback and suggestions. His show captivated our guests from beginning to end, combining exciting magic, engaging storytelling, and just the right amount of humour. More importantly, he understood the immersive nature of our event and tailored his performance perfectly to complement the wizarding experience, making it feel like a seamless part of the banquet rather than just another stage act. The audience response was positive, with guests continuing to talk about his performance long after the event ended. Ryan's ability to connect with people of all ages and create memorable moments truly elevated the overall experience. We highly recommend Ryan to any event organiser looking for a magician who delivers not only exceptional entertainment but also professionalism, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to making every event a success. We look forward to working with him again.

Ryan joined my team for our annual Christmas Party and my team totally enjoyed themselves! He is an amazing young talent and his magic is fascinating and extremely entertaining. Annual Rest & Recreation
We had Ryan perform both roving table magic and a stage performance at our wedding, and it was such a fun addition to the night! Our guests really enjoyed the magic and it created a lot of laughter and memorable moments. One of our favourite parts was seeing my dad get pulled up on stage to participate in the act — it made for such a fun and unexpected moment! We also really appreciated how flexible Ryan was when our wedding schedule got delayed and things shifted around. Thank you for helping make our celebration even more enjoyable and memorable!

Event Magic in Singapore

Singapore Magician for Corporate, Wedding and Private Events

A live magic performance can bring people together and give guests something different to enjoy. The right magic show in Singapore can fit into a formal corporate dinner, a wedding reception, a private celebration or a larger family event.

A professional Singapore magician should do more than perform tricks. The performer needs to understand the audience, venue and schedule. This helps each magician show feel like a natural part of the event instead of something added at the last minute.

Ryan Goh Magic provides live performances for different event settings in Singapore. Whether you are planning a full magician show or a smaller performance for selected groups, the format can be planned around your guests and programme.

01
Event Types

Singapore Magician for Different Types of Events

No two events have the same atmosphere.

A company dinner may include speeches, awards and formal presentations. A wedding may have breaks between the reception, dinner and other activities. Private celebrations are often more relaxed and may involve smaller groups.

A Singapore magician can adjust the style of performance to suit these different settings. A magic show in Singapore can also be planned around the way guests will move through the venue and the amount of time available in the programme.

Live magic may be suitable for:

  • Corporate dinners
  • Company celebrations
  • Weddings
  • Private parties
  • Birthday events
  • Family gatherings
  • Product launches
  • Networking functions
  • School events
  • Community celebrations

For a seated audience, a magician show can give the whole room one performance to enjoy. For events where people are moving around, a magician may work with smaller groups instead.

02
Business Functions

Magic for Corporate Events

Corporate functions often involve a structured programme. Guests may spend much of the evening listening to presentations, attending award segments or speaking with business contacts.

Live magic can provide a welcome change.

A corporate event magician can perform during a planned entertainment segment or work with smaller groups during a reception. This allows organisers to choose a format that fits the event rather than changing the full schedule around the performer.

For larger audiences, stage show entertainment can work well after dinner or between formal programme sections. Everyone can watch the same magician show, which gives the room one shared activity.

A Singapore magician performing at a company function should also understand the tone of a professional event. Audience interaction can still be lively, but guests should feel comfortable taking part.

For companies looking for a magic show in Singapore, the venue should also be considered. Different event spaces may have different capacities, seating styles and facilities. A magician who knows the room setup in advance can prepare a show that is easier for guests to follow.

03
Wedding Celebrations

Magic for Weddings

Weddings often bring together guests of different ages and social groups.

Some may know each other well, while others may be meeting for the first time. Magic can create easy conversation because guests have something surprising to react to together.

Magic can be added as wedding entertainment during the reception, between dinner courses or during another natural break in the programme.

For smaller groups, a close-up magician in Singapore can move between tables and perform directly for guests. This format does not require everyone to stop what they are doing at the same time.

For a larger wedding, a scheduled magician show can give the full audience something to watch together. A Singapore magician can also adjust the style of the performance so it feels suitable for the couple, families and guests.

A magic show in Singapore should still fit around the important parts of the day. Speeches, dinner service, photo sessions and other wedding activities should be considered before deciding when the magician will begin.

04
Larger Audiences

Stage Magic for Larger Audiences

Stage magic is designed for people watching from one main area.

This format can work at corporate functions, family days, school events and larger private celebrations.

Good stage show entertainment depends on more than the size of the stage. Guests need a clear view, and the performer may need access to suitable sound equipment or lighting.

A professional Singapore magician should know about the venue before the event. Information about the room size, seating arrangement and available equipment makes it easier to prepare the performance.

A stage magician show can be useful when guests are already seated. Instead of moving between separate groups, the magician can create one experience for the whole audience.

For organisers comparing options for a magic show in Singapore, stage magic may be the better choice when the room is large and the audience will be watching together.

05
Personal Performance

Close-Up Magic for Smaller Groups

Close-up magic creates a different type of experience.

The performer works only a short distance from the guests. Cards, coins and other small objects may be used while the audience watches nearby.

A close-up magician in Singapore can suit receptions, private dinners, networking events and smaller celebrations.

This format is also flexible. The magician can move between tables or groups while other parts of the event continue. Guests do not always need to stop talking, eating or moving around the venue.

Close-up magic can make a magician show feel more personal because guests see the performance directly in front of them. A Singapore magician can also adjust the pace based on the size and mood of each group.

For anyone planning a magic show in Singapore with a more social setup, close-up magic may fit better than a fixed stage performance.

06
Performance Planning

Choosing the Right Magician Show

The best performance is not always the biggest one.

Before booking a magician show, think about the people attending and how the venue will be used.

Consider:

  • The number of guests
  • The age range of the audience
  • The type of event
  • The venue layout
  • Available performance space
  • Seating arrangements
  • Sound and lighting equipment
  • The event schedule
  • The preferred level of audience interaction

These details can help determine whether stage, close-up or roving magic will work best.

A Singapore magician should also ask about the event before recommending a show. A performance designed for a corporate dinner may not have the same pace as one created for a family celebration.

If you are planning a magic show in Singapore, sharing these details early can help the magician prepare a performance that fits the event rather than relying on a standard setup.

07
Guest Experience

Making Audience Interaction Feel Natural

Audience participation can turn a simple trick into a memorable moment.

A guest might choose a card, make a decision or help with part of the routine. Other people in the room then get to watch someone they know become part of the performance.

However, participation should never feel forced.

A skilled magician needs to notice how the audience is responding. Some guests will volunteer quickly, while others will be happier watching from their seats.

A Singapore magician should also adjust the level of interaction to the event. At a corporate function, the performer should consider professional boundaries. At a wedding, the focus should remain on the celebration. At a private party, the style may be more casual.

The performer needs to adjust to the room rather than expecting every audience to react in the same way. This can make the magician show feel more natural and enjoyable.

08
Event Schedule

Plan the Performance Around the Event

Timing can affect how well guests respond to live entertainment.

A strong performance can still struggle if guests are distracted by food service, announcements or another activity.

Before the event, share the schedule with the Singapore magician.

For corporate events, the magician show may work well after dinner or between formal programme segments. At weddings, magic may fit during the reception or while guests wait for the next activity.

Private events may have more flexibility, but the organiser should still choose a time when most guests are ready to watch.

For a magic show in Singapore, good timing also gives the magician enough time to prepare the performance area and coordinate with the event team.

09
Before the Event

What to Confirm Before the Event

Clear communication can prevent last-minute problems.

Before confirming the performance, discuss:

Event Date Venue Guest Numbers Audience Age Range Performance Time Type of Magic Available Space Seating Layout Sound Equipment Lighting Arrival Time Main Contact Person

The magician should understand these details before arriving at the event.

A Singapore magician who receives the right information early can plan the magician show with fewer surprises on the day.

Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Ryan Goh is a Singapore magician known for blending close up sleight of hand with genuine warmth and stage presence, rather than the flashy, gimmicky style people sometimes expect. He won the Best Newcomer Award at the Melbourne Magic Festival in 2023, and since then he's become one of the more sought after magicians in Singapore for corporate events, weddings, private parties and gala dinners. Every show is built around one idea: the magic should feel personal to the room it's happening in, not recycled from the last one.

As a wedding magician, Ryan builds the show around the couple and the flow of the day, not a fixed routine he repeats at every wedding. A wedding magic show usually works best woven into the reception itself: close up magic moving table to table while guests are seated for dinner, or a short stage moment that pulls the whole room together between speeches. Either way, the point isn't to steal attention from the couple. It's to give guests something to talk about long after the cake's been cut.

Corporate clients tend to care about the same few things: will this feel appropriate in front of executives and VIPs, will it actually land with a mixed audience, and will it run on time. As a corporate event magician, Ryan has performed at conferences, gala dinners, awards nights and product launches, and he adapts the tone and pacing to the room rather than delivering the same set regardless of who's watching. The result reads as polished entertainment, not a party trick squeezed into a boardroom.

Yes. As a close up roving magician, Ryan moves through the room and performs sleight of hand a few inches from your guests' hands, which is a very different feeling from watching a show from a seat. It works especially well during cocktail receptions and networking mixers, where people are already standing, mingling and open to a moment of genuine surprise. It's interactive by nature, and it tends to be the part of the night people bring up first when they're telling someone else about the event.

As a stage magician, Ryan builds his shows around bigger illusions, audience participation and storytelling rather than a string of unconnected tricks, so the show has an actual arc rather than just a series of "how did he do that" moments. Every performance is shaped around the venue and the audience in front of him, whether that's a theatre stage, a ballroom, or a corporate function room. The aim is the same across all of them: real audience reactions, not a rehearsed script running on autopilot.

If you're comparing magicians in Singapore for an upcoming event, the fastest way to know whether Ryan's a good fit is just to reach out directly with your date and event details. He'll confirm availability and talk through what would actually work best for your event, whether that's close up, stage, or a mix of both.
